Yes. Crum & Co. is a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL) and sells firearms in-store in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

To purchase a firearm you must be legally eligible under federal and Florida law, present a valid government-issued photo ID, complete ATF Form 4473, and successfully pass the required background check. Additional requirements may apply depending on the firearm type.

Florida generally imposes a three-day waiting period on firearm purchases under Florida Statute 790.0655, excluding weekends and legal holidays. The waiting period begins with the qualifying purchase, and delivery must await completion of the required background check if that occurs later. Crum & Co. applies the handgun waiting-period procedure to eligible suppressor purchases under the October 9, 2026 ATF guidance. Customers holding a qualifying Florida concealed weapons or concealed firearms license may be eligible for same-day pickup once the required background check and all other legal requirements are satisfied. Other customers must complete the applicable waiting period before delivery.

Firearms may be held or reserved at our discretion, subject to store policy and legal requirements. Please ask in-store for current options.

No. The individual completing the background check and paperwork must be the person taking possession of the firearm.

Sales to out-of-state residents are subject to federal and state laws and may require shipment to an FFL in the buyer's home state. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.

Yes. We accept inbound FFL transfers from other licensed dealers. Contact us first to confirm transfer details, have the seller send the firearm to our FFL, then complete the required paperwork and background check in-store before pickup. Transfer fees apply.

Yes. If you’re looking for a specific firearm that we don’t currently have in the store, let us know what you’re after. We work with a wide network of distributors and manufacturers and can often special order exactly what you want. Visit our Firearm Brands & Special Orders page to send us a request.

You can browse available firearms through our online storefront and, where available, place an order or reservation online. Final firearm transfer and delivery are completed through the appropriate FFL process after all applicable requirements have been satisfied.

If your transaction results in a Non Approval after your background check has been submitted, a non-refundable, non-transferable fee equal to 50% of the purchase price applies. Please review our full Background Check Policy for details.

Once your background check has been submitted, processing has begun. Customers who cancel while their background check is still under review are subject to the same 50% non-refundable fee. We encourage you to review your ATF Form 4473 carefully before signing.

No. Layaway and special-order payments are fully earned, non-refundable and non-transferable if the firearm receives a Non Approval background check.

The ATF and DOJ issued new guidance effective October 9, 2026, announcing that the federal government will no longer enforce certain NFA making, registration, and transfer requirements for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and certain AOWs. The federal NFA making and transfer taxes on covered items have been reduced to $0. However, the underlying NFA statutes have not been repealed by Congress, and all Gun Control Act requirements — including Form 4473 and background checks — remain in effect. Crum & Co. has finalized its Form 4473 suppressor transfer procedure. Under the October 9, 2026 ATF nonenforcement policy, eligible suppressor transfers can now be processed through a Form 4473 rather than requiring prior Form 4 approval. Customers must complete Form 4473 and the required FDLE background check. Crum & Co. applies Florida's three-day waiting period to suppressor purchases in the same manner as handgun purchases, with the same applicable statutory waiting-period exceptions. Customers holding a qualifying Florida concealed weapons or concealed firearms license may be eligible for same-day pickup once all legal requirements are satisfied. Voluntary Form 4 registration remains available for customers who prefer the traditional registration process.

Yes. For ordinary non-Form-4 suppressor transfers using Form 4473, the background check requirement is part of the Gun Control Act and was not affected by the October 9 guidance. Crum & Co. processes these transfers through the required FDLE background-check procedure. For approved Form 4 transfers, 27 CFR §478.102(d)(2) provides a federal NICS-check exception for firearms already approved for transfer under the NFA — however, any additional Florida-specific requirements should be evaluated individually. No. The federal government has announced it will not currently enforce certain NFA prior-approval requirements for covered items, but the underlying NFA statutes remain on the books. The Gun Control Act still applies. Form 4473, background checks, dealer licensing, and all applicable state laws remain in effect.

Yes. ATF has expressly stated it will continue accepting voluntary Form 4 applications for covered NFA items. Crum & Co. can assist with voluntary Form 4 registration — see our transfer fee schedule for applicable charges.

Yes. The October 9 guidance is an executive branch enforcement-discretion decision, not a congressional repeal. A future administration, a future Attorney General, or a future court ruling could alter or reverse this policy. The NFA statutes — including criminal provisions — remain on the books.

There is no guaranteed grandfather protection for unregistered items. Federal law generally does not provide an ordinary registration process for previously unregistered NFA items. The Attorney General has limited discretionary authority to establish an amnesty, but no future amnesty is guaranteed.

Florida Statute 790.221 generally prohibits possession of certain short-barreled rifles and shotguns, with an exception for firearms lawfully owned and possessed under federal law. Whether an unregistered SBR under the federal nonenforcement policy satisfies that Florida exception is not conclusively resolved. Crum & Co. will continue requiring an approved ATF Form 4 before transferring any SBR or SBS.

Suppressors purchased through Crum & Co. are transferred at no additional NFA fee. Suppressors purchased elsewhere via Form 4473 are $50 per item — no fingerprinting is required for that pathway. Voluntary Form 4 transfers for outside suppressors are $100 per item, which includes fingerprint processing. Blind transfers (no advance authorization) are $100 per item — fingerprint processing is included when Form 4 is used. No additional fingerprinting charge applies on top of the $100 outside Form 4 or blind-transfer fees. See our FFL & NFA Transfer page for the complete fee schedule.

No. The $30 fingerprint fee applies only when a customer requests voluntary Form 4 registration for a suppressor purchased through Crum & Co. A standard Form 4473 suppressor transfer does not require fingerprinting.

A blind transfer is an NFA item ordered or shipped to Crum & Co. without prior contact and affirmative acceptance by the store. Blind transfers are subject to a $100-per-item fee. Please contact us before ordering or shipping any NFA item to our store.

No. You must contact Crum & Co. before ordering or shipping any suppressor or other NFA item to our store. Unannounced NFA shipments are subject to the $100-per-item blind-transfer fee.

Yes. Crum & Co. applies Florida's three-day waiting period to eligible suppressor transfers, the same as handgun purchases. Weekends and legal holidays are excluded. The required FDLE background check must also be completed before delivery. Customers qualifying for Florida's statutory waiting-period exemptions, including qualifying concealed weapons or concealed firearms license holders, may be eligible for same-day pickup after completing all other requirements.

No additional fingerprinting fee applies to a $100 blind NFA transfer processed through Form 4. Fingerprinting is included in that $100 service fee.

No. A qualifying Florida concealed weapons or concealed firearms license may provide an exemption from the state waiting period, but it does not automatically eliminate the required background check for an ordinary dealer suppressor transfer.

Yes. During Florida’s 2026 Hunting, Fishing & Camping Sales Tax Holiday, qualifying pistols, rifles, and shotguns are exempt from Florida sales tax from September 1 through December 31, 2026.

Qualifying complete ammunition is included in Florida’s 2026 Hunting, Fishing & Camping Sales Tax Holiday from September 1 through December 31, 2026.

Certain firearm accessories specifically identified by the Florida Department of Revenue qualify. These include products such as magazines, holsters, optics, bipods, slings, cleaning kits, stocks, triggers, suppressors, and other specifically listed accessories. Not every firearm-related product automatically qualifies.

Suppressors and silencers are specifically listed by the Florida Department of Revenue as eligible firearm accessories during the September 1 through December 31, 2026 sales tax holiday. Separately, ATF issued new federal NFA nonenforcement guidance effective October 9, 2026 — eligible suppressor transfers may now qualify for processing without mandatory Form 4 approval under federal policy, although Form 4473, background checks, and other requirements still apply. The Florida sales tax exemption and the $0 federal NFA transfer tax are two separate benefits.

Florida’s 2026 Hunting, Fishing & Camping Sales Tax Holiday ends December 31, 2026.

Florida’s Department of Revenue publication lists price limits for certain camping and fishing products but does not list a purchase-price cap for qualifying hunting supplies such as firearms and ammunition.
