Important Policy
Once ATF Form 4473 has been completed and your background check has been submitted, customers who receive a Non Approval or withdraw their transaction while the background check is pending will be charged a non-refundable, non-transferable fee equal to 50% of the purchase price.

Our standard FFL transfer fee applies to handguns, long guns, and shotguns shipped to us from any licensed dealer or online retailer.
$40 per firearm, due at the time we begin your ATF Form 4473. Does not include the purchase price of the firearm, shipping, or applicable taxes.
NFA & Silencer Transfers
We accept NFA item transfers — including silencers, short-barreled rifles, and other regulated items — by appointment. ATF Form 4 preparation and completion are available by appointment only. Contact us before arranging shipment of any NFA item.

Suppressors and silencers are specifically listed as qualifying firearm accessories during Florida’s 2026 Hunting, Fishing & Camping Sales Tax Holiday.

The process is straightforward. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
Step 1 — Contact Us First
Call or email us before placing your order to confirm we can receive your transfer and to get our current FFL information to provide to the seller.
Step 2 — Seller Ships to Us
Provide our FFL license information to the online retailer or private seller. They ship the firearm directly to Crum & Co. Outdoors.
Step 3 — We Contact You
Once the firearm arrives, we'll reach out to let you know it's ready. Bring your valid government-issued photo ID.
Step 4 — Complete the Transfer
Complete the required transfer paperwork and background check in store. Delivery takes place once all applicable transfer requirements have been satisfied.

FFL Transfer FAQ
How much does an FFL transfer cost?+
Our standard outside FFL transfer fee is $40 per firearm for handguns, rifles, and shotguns. For suppressors purchased through Crum & Co., there is no separate standard suppressor transfer fee when using Form 4473. Customers choosing voluntary Form 4 registration for a suppressor purchased through us pay an additional $30 fingerprinting fee. Outside suppressor transfers that have been approved in advance are $50 per item when processed through Form 4473, or $100 per item when processed through voluntary Form 4, including fingerprinting. Any NFA item shipped to Crum & Co. without advance authorization is considered a blind transfer and carries a $100-per-item transfer fee, including fingerprinting if Form 4 processing is required. Please contact Crum & Co. before ordering or shipping any NFA item.
What is an FFL transfer?+
Federal law requires that firearms purchased online or from out-of-state sellers be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer near you. The FFL dealer receives the firearm, verifies your identity, runs a background check, and transfers the firearm to you legally. Crum & Co. Outdoors is Franklin County's only FFL storefront.
What ID do I need to bring?+
You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID. Florida residents must present a Florida driver's license or state ID. Out-of-state residents should contact us before arranging a transfer.
How long does the transfer take?+
Transfer timing depends on the firearm, the required background check, and applicable Florida waiting periods or exemptions. For suppressors, Crum & Co. follows the Form 4473 and FDLE background-check process and applies Florida's three-day waiting period with the applicable handgun waiting-period exceptions. Some qualifying customers may be eligible for same-day pickup once all legal requirements are satisfied. Other customers must complete the required waiting period. Transfers involving voluntary Form 4 registration require ATF approval before delivery.
Can I transfer a firearm I purchased from a private seller?+
Yes. Private party transfers of firearms between residents of different states must go through an FFL dealer. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

We accept transfers from most licensed online dealers. Contact us before placing your order to confirm and to get our FFL information.
